3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness H.E.R. (Health Education Resources) Day
Dear Supporters,
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, The Denise Roberts Breast
Cancer Foundation (TDRBCF) will partner with the Los Angeles County Martin Luther King, Jr.
Outpatient Center (MLK OPC), an ambulatory care center which offers a full spectrum of
primary and specialty services.
On Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 9:00am until 1:00pm, TDRBCF and MLK OPC will host
the Third Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Health Education Resources (H.E.R.) Family Day on
the campus of the MLK OPC. This event is free to the public. Health professionals will offer
mammograms, blood pressure checks, kidney screenings, HIV and STD screenings, diabetes
management, and nutrition and fitness information. Local community vendors will feature a
variety of health and beauty products.
The KJLH Street team will broadcast live at this family friendly day full of activities and healthy
treats for children to kick off their Halloween celebrations. The purpose of this event is two-fold
– to conduct breast health education and breast cancer awareness outreach to more than 500
people and to raise funds for breast screening and follow-up treatment for minority men and
women in underserved communities.
Join us and support Breast Cancer Awareness by hosting a booth to share your expertise and
products with a captive audience (donation rates attached). TDRBCF is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt
organization. For more information on how you can participate in the Breast Cancer Awareness
H.E.R. Family Day, please contact Pastor Rhonda Santifer at pastorrhonda@tdrbcf.org or call 888.833-6473.
Sincerely,
Denise Roberts
